Album Notes & Community Reviews

U2's exceptionally assured debut immediately established their distinct, arena-ready iteration of atmospheric post-punk. Driven by The Edge's heavily delayed, chiming guitar textures and Bono's incredibly passionate, yearning vocals, 'Boy' is a deeply introspective, surprisingly sombre, and fiercely energetic exploration of adolescence and lost innocence.
