Biography
New York noise rock band A Place to Bury Strangers, formed in 2003 by Oliver Ackermann of #Death by Audio#, are famed for punishing volume and shoegaze density across albums from 'Exploding Head' (2009) to 'See Through You' (2022). Ackermann's homemade effects pedals shape a sound that sits between post-punk, industrial and shoegaze. The band records for its own #Dedstrange# label.
