Biography
Aera were a German jazz-rock and fusion band formed in 1972 by guitarist Muck Groh, with saxophonist Klaus Kreuzeder becoming the central figure. They released five studio albums between 'Humanum Est' (1974) and 'Akataki' (1982), moving from instrumental progressive jazz-rock on #Erlkönig# toward percussion-led fusion, with a completely renewed line-up around Kreuzeder for the final records and a lasting reputation among krautrock collectors.
