Biography
Austere are a depressive black metal duo from East Corrimal, New South Wales, formed in 2005 by Tim Yatras (Sorrow) and Mitchell Keepin (Desolate). Their long, bleak songs pair repetitive black metal riffing with clean guitars and anguished vocals across 'Withering Illusions and Desolation' (2007) and 'To Lay Like Old Ashes' (2009). After disbanding in 2010, the duo reformed in 2021 and released the comeback album 'Corrosion of Hearts' in 2023.
