Biography
Broadcast was a British ambient pop band formed in 1995 in Birmingham, England. The band's style explored 1960s influences like psychedelic pop and early electronic music through indie neo-psychedelia, heavily influenced by both the 1960s American psychedelic group *The United States of America* and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, using many of the same electronic effects and atmospheres. Their music fell under the style of British first wave post-rock -adjacent retrofuturistic acts like *Stereolab* and Pram.
