Car Seat Headrest is an American indie rock band that began as the solo project of musician Will Toledo. Originating with a series of lo-fi, ambitious, and lyrically dense albums self-released on Bandcamp, the project evolved into a full four-piece band after signing with Matador Records. Known for sprawling song structures, introspective and often raw lyrical themes, and a sound that merges '90s indie rock with classic rock influences, the band achieved widespread critical acclaim with albums like "Teens of Denial" and the re-recorded "Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)". Toledo's work is celebrated for its emotional honesty and complex narrative songwriting.
