Cedar Walton

A pianist and composer who was a key member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in the early 1960s. His elegant, bluesy, and swinging piano style made him a first-call sideman for decades. His compositions, like 'Bolivia' and 'Mosaic,' became modern jazz standards.
