Biography
Chat Pile is an American band from Oklahoma City formed in 2019, whose name derives from the toxic byproducts of lead-zinc mining. The quartet's sludgy, abrasive sound merges noise rock, industrial, and nu-metal, with lyrics exploring societal decay, mental anguish, and the grim realities of American life. After gaining underground attention with their EPs 'This Dungeon Earth' and 'Remove Your Skin Please', they signed to #The Flenser# and released their critically acclaimed debut album, 'God's Country', in 2022. Their sound often draws comparisons to bands like *Big Black*, *Godflesh*, and *The Jesus Lizard*, capturing a sense of modern dread and cathartic frustration.
