Biography
claire rousay is a Canadian-American experimental musician and composer born in Winnipeg and raised in San Antonio, Texas, now based in Los Angeles. A former solo percussionist and improviser, she composes intimate musique concr猫te from field recordings, voice and electronics on albums including 'a softer focus' and 'everything perfect is already here'. Her #Thrill Jockey Records# album 'sentiment' (2024) brought confessional, emo-influenced songwriting into that sound world, followed by 'a little death' in 2025.
