Biography
Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative country band from Toronto, formed in 1985 by singer Margo Timmins, guitarist Michael Timmins, drummer Peter Timmins and bassist Alan Anton. Recorded live in a Toronto church around a single microphone, 'The Trinity Session' (1988) made their name internationally, and its cover of *Lou Reed*'s 'Sweet Jane' became their signature song. The unchanged quartet has recorded steadily since, latterly for its own #Latent Recordings#.
