Biography
Erik Truffaz is a French-Swiss jazz trumpeter, born in Ch锚ne-Bougeries, Switzerland, in 1960 and raised in France. Inspired by *Miles Davis*, he studied at the Geneva conservatoire and released his first album as a leader, 'Ni帽a Val茅ria', in 1992, before signing to #Blue Note Records#. Leading his own quartet, he became a central figure in European nu-jazz with albums such as 'The Dawn', 'Bending New Corners' and 'Mantis', setting his cool, minimalist trumpet playing against hip hop, drum and bass, rock and electronic grooves.
