Foetus

Biography

Foetus is the solo project of JG Thirlwell, begun in New York in 1981. Through albums like 'Deaf', 'Nail' and 'Gash', Thirlwell fused industrial noise, swing, soundtrack music and black humor into a maximalist style that proved hugely influential, while the project fed his later work as a composer for film and television. The Foetus catalog was largely self-released on #Self Immolation#.
