Geordie Greep is an English singer and guitarist who fronted *black midi* from 2017 to 2024, singing and playing on the #Rough Trade Records# albums 'Schlagenheim', 'Cavalcade' and 'Hellfire'. Known for a geographically unplaceable accent and story-songs populated by grotesque characters, he began a solo career with 'The New Sound' (2024), a genre-hopping debut that confirmed him as one of British rock's most original songwriters.
