Biography
Hot Tuna is the blues-rock partnership of Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, formed in San Francisco in 1969 as a spinoff from *Jefferson Airplane*. Built on Kaukonen's fingerpicked guitar and Casady's melodic bass, the group moves between intimate acoustic blues and loud electric rock. Landmark releases include 'Burgers', 'America's Choice' and 'Steady as She Goes', and the duo remains an active touring act more than five decades after its founding.
