Biography
Ichiko Aoba is a Japanese singer-songwriter whose intimate folk songs pair classical guitar with a weightless soprano voice. Debuting with 'Kamisori Otome' in 2010, she developed a distinctive world of dream imagery, field recordings and sparse arrangements across albums such as '0' and 'qp'. Her 2020 album 'Windswept Adan', issued on her own #hermine# label, brought international acclaim for its lush, cinematic sound. Aoba tours worldwide, writes for theatre and film, and continued her ascent with 'Luminescent Creatures' (2025).
