Biography
James are an English rock band from Manchester, formed in 1982 and led throughout by singer Tim Booth and bassist Jim Glennie. After early releases on #Factory Records#, they reached the UK top ten with 'Gold Mother' (1990), 'Seven' (1992) and the *Brian Eno* produced 'Laid' (1993), home to 'Sit Down' and 'Laid'. Booth's 2001 departure paused the band until a 2007 reunion; the current nine-piece lineup has since made several more albums, including the 2024 chart-topper 'Yummy'.
