Biography
Jay Reatard was the primary musical project of Memphis musician *Jimmy Lee* Lindsey Jr., a prolific and volatile force in garage punk. Emerging from a decade of work in bands like The *Reatards* and *Lost Sounds*, his solo career was defined by a shift towards more melodic, yet still frantic and raw, power-pop. His debut solo album, 'Blood Visions', released on #In the Red Records#, was a critical breakthrough, blending aggressive punk energy with sharp, memorable hooks. He signed with #Matador Records# for his final album, 'Watch Me Fall', further refining his sound before his untimely death at age 29, cementing his legacy as a vital and influential artist.
