Biography

Barrington DeVaughn Hendricks, known as JPEGMAFIA, is an American rapper and producer renowned for his confrontational, experimental approach to hip-hop. Born in Brooklyn to Jamaican parents, his music is a volatile mix of industrial noise, glitchy production, and politically charged, often satirical lyrics. After a four-year stint in the U.S. Air Force, he began releasing music, gaining widespread critical acclaim with his 2018 album 'Veteran'. His work, including 'All My Heroes Are Cornballs' and the collaborative album 'Scaring the Hoes' with *Danny Brown*, defies easy categorization, blending abrasive textures with moments of melody and drawing from a vast, eclectic range of influences.
