Biography
Lilys are an American indie rock band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1988 and led by Kurt Heasley, their only constant member through constantly changing lineups. They began with the shoegaze of 'In the Presence of Nothing' (1992), moved through the dream pop of 'Eccsame the Photon Band' (1994), then reinvented themselves as 1960s style mod pop on 'Better Can't Make Your Life Better' (1996), whose 'A Nanny in Manhattan' was a UK hit after appearing in a Levi's advertisement. Later albums include 'The 3 Way' (1999) and 'Everything Wrong Is Imaginary' (2006).
