Biography
mewithoutYou was an influential American rock band from Philadelphia, active from 2001 to 2022. Known for frontman Aaron Weiss's distinctive spoken-word and shouted vocals, the band blended post-hardcore, indie rock, and experimental soundscapes. Their lyrics, dense with philosophical and spiritual allusions, are a celebrated hallmark. After signing with #Tooth & Nail Records#, they released seminal albums like the raw '[A→B] Life', the critically acclaimed 'Catch for Us the Foxes', and the intricate 'Brother, Sister'. Their style evolved over seven studio albums, incorporating folk and art-rock, cementing their legacy as a unique and introspective force in alternative music before their farewell tour.
