Milton Nascimento

Milton Nascimento

Milton Nascimento is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose music transcends genre boundaries. Emerging in the late 1960s, he became one of Brazil’s most revered artists through his soaring tenor voice and deeply spiritual blend of MPB, folk rock, jazz fusion, and psychedelic pop. His 1972 masterpiece Clube da Esquina—created with Lô Borges—defined a generation, merging Minas Gerais folk traditions with global sounds. Across decades, Nascimento’s poetic lyrics and emotive compositions have celebrated love, identity, and the human connection to nature and spirit.
