Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic band formed in Meols, Merseyside, in 1978 by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys. Pioneers of synth pop, they scored European hits with 'Enola Gay' and 'Architecture & Morality', and a US top five hit with 'If You Leave'. After a 1996 split and a 2006 reunion, the lineup of McCluskey, Humphreys, Martin Cooper and Stuart Kershaw has released four further studio albums, most recently 'Bauhaus Staircase' (2023).
