Biography
Rita Lee (1947–2023) was a Brazilian singer and songwriter, the 'Queen of Brazilian Rock'. She co-founded *Os Mutantes* in 1966, a cornerstone of Tropicália, then led *Tutti Frutti* on 'Fruto Proibido' (1975) before a hugely successful solo career with hits such as 'Mania de Você' and 'Lança Perfume'. Her irreverent, freedom-demanding songs made her one of Brazil's most censored and beloved artists.
