Biography
Starflyer 59 is the Riverside, California band founded in 1993 by Jason Martin, who has written and sung every song across 17 studio albums. Early records 'Silver' (1994) and 'Gold' (1995) on #Tooth & Nail Records# were landmarks of American shoegaze; later albums moved through guitar rock, keyboard pop and lounge-tinged indie. Long-serving bassist Steven Dail and drummer Charlie Martin, Jason's son, complete the current lineup, heard on 'Young in My Head' (2019), 'Vanity' (2021) and 'Lust for Gold' (2024).
