Biography
Taake is the Bergen black metal band formed in 1993 as Thule by Hoest, its only continuous member, who writes and records most of its music and performed the self-titled 2008 album entirely alone. Its eight studio albums, sung in Hoest's dialect with lyrics printed in runes, run from 'Nattestid ser porten vid' (1999) to 'Et hav av avstand' (2023), with a full band assembled for live shows.
