Biography
*Television* Personalities are an English post-punk band from London, formed in 1977 by Dan Treacy and best known for the 1978 single 'Part Time Punks'. Treacy's witty, pop culture obsessed songs mixed neo-psychedelia with indie pop across albums such as '...And Don't the Kids Just Love It' (1981), 'The Painted Word' (1984) and 'Closer to God' (1992). Long cited as pioneers of DIY and C86 indie, the band returned in the 2000s with 'My Dark Places' after Treacy's years of addiction and imprisonment.
