Biography
The Cardigans are a Swedish pop rock band formed in Jönköping in 1992, whose classic lineup of singer Nina Persson, guitarist Peter Svensson, bassist Magnus Sveningsson, drummer Bengt Lagerberg and keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson moved from indie pop to international success with 'Lovefool' and the albums 'First Band on the Moon' and 'Gran Turismo'. Their last studio album is 'Super Extra Gravity' from 2005. Since the band resumed touring in 2012, Svensson has not taken part, with Oskar Humlebo playing guitar live, and Persson has said there will be no new Cardigans albums without Svensson.
