Biography
The Notwist is a German band from Weilheim, Bavaria, formed in 1989 by brothers Markus and Micha Acher. Starting in hardcore and metal, the group absorbed electronica after programmer Martin Gretschmann joined in 1997, reaching a wide audience with the melancholic, beat driven 'Neon Golden' (2002). Later albums including 'The Devil, You + Me' (2008), 'Close to the Glass' (2014) and 'Vertigo Days' (2021) keep Markus Acher's quiet vocals at the centre of an ever widening instrumental palette.
