Tujiko Noriko

Biography

Japanese singer and filmmaker from Osaka, based in Paris, whose whispered, glitch-textured songs blur pop and experimental electronics. Recording for #Mego# since 'Shojo Toshi' (2001), Tujiko has made albums including 'Hard Ni Sasete' (2002) and 'Solo' (2007), collaborated with *Aoki Takamasa*, and acted in and scored the film 'Kuro'. Her voice — intimate, processed, half-asleep — is one of the most recognisable in Japanese underground music.
