Biography
Formed in Scotland in 2018, Tyrannus began as a duo creating intense and captivating extreme metal. The band quickly evolved, defining their sound as a warped, anti-fascist blend of blackened thrash and death metal infused with psychedelic and post-punk elements. After a 2021 demo caught the attention of #True Cult Records#, they released their acclaimed debut album, 'Unslayable', in 2022. Known for their dynamic songwriting, which balances raw aggression with atmospheric and experimental passages, the band explores themes of existentialism and Lovecraftian horror. Their sophomore album, 'Mournhold', further refined their unique and ambitious sonic vision, solidifying their place in the UK's underground metal scene.
