Biography

Victoria Williams is a Louisiana singer-songwriter whose quirky, devout folk songs and tremulous voice made her a musicians' favourite. After albums for #Geffen# and others, her 1992 multiple sclerosis diagnosis prompted 'Sweet Relief', a 1993 benefit album of her songs by *Pearl Jam*, *Lou Reed* and others, which founded a charity for uninsured musicians. She has recorded steadily since, including 'Musings of a Creek Dipper' (1998).
