Wynton Marsalis

A trumpeter and composer who became a leading figure of the 'Young Lions' movement in the 1980s. His work sparked a revival of acoustic, traditionalist jazz, emphasizing the historical foundations of bebop and post-bop. He is also the artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
