Yu Su

Biography

Yu Su is a Chinese-born, London-based composer, DJ, and sound artist known for her unique blend of electronic textures, ambient soundscapes, and left-field dance music. Classically trained on piano, she channels a diverse range of influences into what she calls "in-between music," which often incorporates subtle references to Chinese folk traditions. Her acclaimed debut album, 'Yellow River Blue', released on her own #bié Records# imprint and the Dutch label #Music From Memory#, serves as a musical autobiography of her nomadic life. Her work is celebrated for its emotional depth, playfulness, and expansive, genre-defying sound that feels both intimate and unbound.
