Album Notes & Community Reviews

Curated by David Byrne for his Luaka Bop label, this compilation was instrumental in reintroducing the visionary Brazilian psych-rock group to an international audience. The collection focuses on their most explosive, wildly inventive late-60s output, characterized by bizarre studio effects and traditional bossa nova rhythms subverted by fuzz guitars. It sparked a massive global reappraisal of the Tropic谩lia movement.
