Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released against a backdrop of severe internal band friction and an impending breakup, John Fogerty's deceptively buoyant anthem addresses the era's fading idealism. The tightly structured acoustic rhythm and swelling Hammond organ perfectly captured a bittersweet, melancholic resignation that resonated massively across American FM radio.
