This album is a powerful document of late-period John Coltrane, posthumously released with organ overdubs by his wife, Alice. The session is a raw, searching piece of spiritual free jazz, featuring ecstatic, 'fire music' improvisations from both John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders.
