Album Notes & Community Reviews

Essentially coining its own subgenre with its title, the German band's debut album fuses the freezing, abrasive tones of black metal with the lethargic, crushing tempos of doom. Its deeply uncomfortable atmosphere and themes of profound mental anguish made it highly influential on the later development of depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM).
