Album Notes & Community Reviews
In a highly polarizing but commercially successful move, the Ramones teamed up with legendary producer Phil Spector to aggressively polish their punk sound. 'End of the Century' drastically slows their tempo, wrapping their highly melodic, sentimental pop hooks in incredibly dense Wall of Sound orchestrations, resulting in a remarkably playful, deeply introspective 60s pop homage.
