Mother Always

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing increasingly abstract electronic soundscapes, the mixtape continues the project's exploration of extreme temporal manipulation. The arrangements prioritize long-form drones and subtle rhythmic shifts that bridge the gap between abstract sound design and experimental hip-hop. It represents a further refinement of their 'drag' style, prioritising textural variety and structural tension within a high-contrast and often abrasive nocturnal frame.
