Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements', Stereolab channels krautrock influences and avant-garde tendencies into their distinct sound, creating a work defined by its collision of relentless motorik rhythms and distorted, overdriven guitars with serene pop melodies. The album's dense, layered production is notable for its juxtaposition of Lætitia Sadier's calm vocals against formidable walls of analog synthesizer drones, lengthy instrumental passages, and experimental techniques such as sampling hi-fi test records and utilizing a locked groove on the vinyl release.
