Ditching the polished arena-rock production of their previous decade, the Akron duo returned to their grimy, garage-rock roots to record a heartfelt covers album of classic hill country blues. Recorded over just two afternoons in Nashville with veteran blues musicians Kenny Brown and Eric Deaton, the project focuses heavily on the works of R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. It was warmly received as a loose, deeply authentic tribute to their formative influences.
