Biography
Brazilian composer and pianist from Rio de Janeiro, the principal architect of bossa nova. With *Vin铆cius de Moraes* he wrote 'The Girl from Ipanema', 'Desafinado' and 'Chega de Saudade', songs carried worldwide by *Jo茫o Gilberto* and *Stan Getz* on #Verve Records#. His own albums, from 'Wave' (1967) to 'Elis & Tom' (1974), display the harmonic subtlety that changed both Brazilian music and jazz.
