Biography
Cluster were a German electronic duo of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius, formed in Berlin in 1971 from the earlier group *Kluster*. Pioneers of kosmische music and ambient electronica, they moved from the harsh improvisations of 'Cluster II' to the pastoral melodies of 'Zuckerzeit' and 'Sowiesoso', collaborated with *Brian Eno* on two albums, and, with *Michael Rother*, formed *Harmonia*. Active until 1981, they later reunited twice before a final concert in 2010.
