Biography
FACS is a Chicago art-rock trio formed in 2017 by former *Disappears* members Brian Case, Noah Leger and Jonathan van Herik. After van Herik's early departure, bassist Alianna Kalaba anchored four albums, from 'Lifelike' (2019) to 'Still Life in Decay' (2023), before van Herik returned for 'Wish Defense' (2025). Released on #Trouble in Mind#, their six albums pursue a stark, rhythmic minimalism: propulsive drums, deep bass and fractured guitar textures that place the trio between post-punk, dub and abstract rock.
