Biography
Iron Butterfly is a psychedelic rock band formed in San Diego in 1966, best known for the seventeen-minute title track of 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' (1968), a landmark of early heavy metal. The classic Ingle, Bushy, Brann and Dorman line-up made the band's defining albums for #Atco Records#, and later incarnations kept the name touring long after the final studio album in 1975.
