Biography
Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Monolord is a doom metal trio that formed in 2013. The band consists of Thomas V J盲ger, Mika H盲kki, and Esben Willems. They quickly gained critical acclaim with their debut album, 'Empress Rising', released via #RidingEasy Records#. Known for their crushingly heavy, low-tuned riffs, droning soundscapes, and J盲ger's distinctive, melodic vocals, the band has become a significant name in the modern doom and stoner rock scenes. Their sound is often compared to titans of the genre like *Sleep* and *Electric Wizard*, but they maintain a unique identity through their dynamic song structures and atmospheric depth, solidifying their place with subsequent albums like 'V忙nir' and 'No Comfort'.
