Biography
Mount Kimbie is an English group that began as the duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos. Formed in 2008, they were influential in the 'post-dubstep' scene, blending ambient textures, experimental rhythms, and manipulated samples on early releases for #Hotflush Recordings#. Their acclaimed 2010 debut, 'Crooks & Lovers', established their signature sound. Signing to #Warp Records#, they expanded their style, incorporating more live instrumentation and vocals on albums like 'Cold Spring Fault Less Youth' and 'Love What Survives', which featured collaborations with artists such as *King Krule* and *James Blake*. In 2023, the project officially evolved into a four-piece band, further exploring post-punk and indie rock on 'The Sunset Violent'.
