Biography
The Soft Pink Truth is the solo project of Drew Daniel, the Louisville-raised musician who forms *Matmos* with M. C. Schmidt and teaches English at Johns Hopkins University. Begun in 2001 on a dare from *Matthew Herbert*, it applies Daniel's production skills to dance music: house versions of punk songs on 'Do You Want New Wave or Do You Want The Soft Pink Truth?' (2004), black metal recast for the club on 'Why Do the Heathen Rage?' (2014), and increasingly lush, collaborative records since 2020 on #Thrill Jockey Records#.
