Album Notes & Community Reviews
The second installment in Stereolab's 'Switched On' compilation series gathers various obscure singles, tour splits, and rarities recorded between 1992 and 1993. Capturing their transition from lo-fi noise-pop toward a more expansive, groove-oriented sound, it heavily leans into hypnotic Krautrock repetitions and vintage analog synthesizer textures. Highlights like 'French Disko' effectively merge Marxist philosophical lyricism with driving, motorik propulsion.
