Kenny Segal

Biography

Kenny Segal is a Los Angeles-based record producer who shaped a distinct lane in underground hip-hop. Initially emerging from L.A.'s drum 'n' bass scene as Syndakit, he became a fixture in the Project Blowed and Low End Theory circles. His production is defined by jazz-inflected, warmly textured soundscapes, often built with an SP-404 sampler. Segal's influence grew through his instrumental work and pivotal full-album collaborations with artists like *R.A.P. Ferreira*, *Serengeti*, and *billy woods*. His work with *woods*, including the acclaimed albums 'Hiding Places' and 'Maps' on #Backwoodz Studioz#, cemented his status as a key architect of modern experimental rap.
